PostcodeDB is built entirely on official Australian open data. This page provides the attribution statements and disclaimers required by the licences under which that data is published. We are grateful to the data providers.

Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS)

This website incorporates and/or develops data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics:

Data currency & accuracy

Boundaries reflect ABS ASGS Edition 3 (2021) and demographics reflect the 2021 Census; address-derived data reflects the G-NAF release stated in our documentation. ABS Postal Areas are an approximation of postcodes built from Mesh Blocks and do not exactly match Australia Post postcode boundaries. Some postcodes (e.g. PO-box-only and special postcodes) are outside the scope of this directory. See our Terms of Use for the accuracy disclaimer that applies to this site.
